Facial dermocosmetics are skincare products formulated according to dermatological standards: without unnecessary fragrances, colorants, or aggressive preservatives, and with active ingredients supported by a documented mechanism of action.

In the RegCare line, this ingredient is microcrystalline chitosan produced in CHITOMED P.S.A. laboratories – a natural polymer that forms a bioadhesive film on the surface of the epidermis with each application, strengthens the skin barrier, and supports hydration.

Each RegCare facial formula goes through the same verification process: whether every ingredient serves a specific, documented function. There are no “marketing ingredients” – microcrystalline chitosan, hyaluronic acid, hydroxyapatite, and peptides are all selected for their real role in facial skincare.

Who are facial dermocosmetics for?

RegCare facial dermocosmetics are primarily designed for sensitive, reactive, atopic, and mature skin. The dermatological formulation standard means physiological pH, absence of irritants, and no colorants.

Dry and dehydrated skin
Microcrystalline chitosan forms a film that reduces transepidermal water loss (TEWL), helping retain moisture for several hours. Combined with hyaluronic acid, the formula works on two levels: chitosan film on the surface and HA binding water in deeper layers.

Sensitive and reactive skin
No fragrances, colorants, or aggressive preservatives makes RegCare dermocosmetics well tolerated by irritation-prone skin. Cleansing formulas without SLS do not damage the lipid barrier even with daily use.

Atopic skin
Physiological pH and hypoallergenic composition minimize the risk of reactions. Chitosan supports the epidermal barrier, which is especially important when it is chronically weakened.

Mature skin
The RegCare peptide line (Argireline, Syn®-Ake, SYN-GLOW®, SYN-UP, Bio-Fusion EGF and FGF2) supports skin regeneration and density. Chitosan improves delivery and interaction of active ingredients within the stratum corneum.

Acne-prone and combination skin
Chitosan-based dermocosmetics do not contain mineral oils. Skincare for acne-prone skin should be selected individually – check product descriptions to choose the right formulation.

Microcrystalline chitosan in facial skincare

RegCare microcrystalline chitosan differs from standard chitosan in degree of deacetylation (DDA) and particle size – both parameters influence how effectively it forms a protective film on the skin.

In facial creams, chitosan acts as a bioadhesive ingredient: it binds to keratin structures of the epidermis and forms a long-lasting moisturizing film that reduces transepidermal water loss (TEWL).

RegCare products are manufactured in our own laboratory in Jelnik under ISO 7 cleanroom conditions. The microcrystalline chitosan is produced in-house – it is the core of CHITOMED P.S.A. technology.

How long does it take to see results?
Hydration effects appear within a few days. Barrier improvement typically takes 3–4 weeks. Peptide effects (smoothness, density) are usually visible after 4–8 weeks of regular use.

Can they be combined with acids or retinol?
Yes. Microcrystalline chitosan is stable across skincare pH ranges and does not interact with AHA/BHA acids or retinol. It can be used as a regenerating layer on off-days or in the morning routine.
