RegCare is a Polish line of dermoceuticals created by CHITOMED P.S.A., a company that does not buy active ingredients from external suppliers, but produces them itself. Microcrystalline chitosan, which forms the core of every product, is made in our own laboratory in Złotniki, using a process we have been developing for years. This is not cosmetic marketing. This is a specific technology that can be verified under a microscope.

Key differentiator: every product begins and ends in our laboratory. Microcrystalline chitosan (MCC) does not come from an external supplier; we process it ourselves. This means full quality control from raw material to finished cream, at every stage of production.

Why microcrystalline chitosan, not ordinary chitosan
Chitosan is a natural polymer obtained from the shells of marine organisms or, in the vegan version, from fungi. The problem is that in the form of ordinary powder dissolved in water, it forms a thick, useless mass that is unsuitable for cosmetics.
The microcrystalline form is a completely different material: it dissolves in water, easily combines with active ingredients and, most importantly, is cationic, meaning it has a positive charge. Skin and hair have a negative charge, so microcrystalline chitosan is attracted to them like a magnet. It creates an elastic protective film, reduces transepidermal water loss (TEWL) and supports the bioavailability of active ingredients in the stratum corneum.
Processing chitosan into this form requires a proprietary production method. We develop and use it exclusively in our own laboratory.
Our mission: effective skincare available to everyone
A dermoceutical should not be a privilege. This belief has been at the foundation of RegCare from the very beginning.
A face cream with certified peptides (Argireline®, SYN-AKE®) costs PLN 120–200 at RegCare. Similar products from other manufacturers sometimes cost several times more. The difference is not always in the quality of the formula. It lies in who produces the ingredients and how. At RegCare, the lower cost results directly from our own production of the active ingredient. We eliminate the external supplier’s margin; we do not simplify the formula.
We want every person who takes care of their skin to have access to a product that truly does something. Not to a product with beautiful packaging and ingredients selected solely for visual effect.
As part of her work, Edyta conducted a series of preclinical studies and medical experiments related to the use of chitosan hydrogels for the regeneration of bone and soft tissues in orthopedics and dental surgery. She granted a license and, from 2026, has been selling these products independently as “custom-made medical devices.” In the field of dental surgery, around 400 procedures have already been successfully performed using them.
Edyta Wątrobińska holds the qualifications of an internal auditor for the ISO 13485 quality management system and has completed numerous industry trainings, for example in homogenization and radiation sterilization of medical devices.

Every cosmetic product of ours that contains chitosan is based on a biopolymer that we ourselves have studied while working on medical devices: personalized, thermosensitive hydrogels based on a chitosan matrix. Frequently asked questions
Is RegCare a Polish brand?
Yes. CHITOMED P.S.A. is based in Poznań. The laboratory where the products are made is located in Jelnik. We produce microcrystalline chitosan ourselves; we do not import it or buy it from external suppliers.
Is microcrystalline chitosan safe for children?
Yes. Chitosan is biocompatible and hypoallergenic. Chitosan Cream 5% is intended for use from the age of 3. People allergic to shellfish can use the version based on fungal chitosan (Aspergillus niger), which does not contain marine proteins.
Where does the chitosan in RegCare products come from?
We produce it in our own laboratory, in a proprietary microcrystalline form. It is the core of our technology and the reason why RegCare products differ from cosmetics that buy chitosan in powder form and add it as a functional ingredient.
Are RegCare products tested?
In the European Union, every cosmetic product undergoes extremely rigorous but fully ethical safety testing. Since 2013, there has been a complete ban on testing both finished products and their ingredients on animals. Safety is confirmed by detailed laboratory tests, including microbiological tests, formula stability studies, as well as application and dermatological tests on volunteers. The entire process ends with a professional Cosmetic Product Safety Report prepared by a qualified expert. In addition, our chitosan matrix was tested even more rigorously as part of our work on medical devices.
